The MES metal test lab performs mechanical, metallurgical, chemical, environmental, and corrosion testing of metal materials.

Our mechanical test lab provides controlled tensile strength, compression, hardness (Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers, Knoop), impact resistance, friction resistance, 3-point bend, fatigue, shear, strain, and wear resistance testing for a number of environmental conditions.

The team of MES metallurgists can perform a metallographic examination on your samples in our optical lab to determine grain size, impurities, inclusion counts, or heat affects. MES is capable of testing large lot sizes for manufacturing controls and we offer discounted rates for high volume testing.

Our extensive experience in metallurgical testing allows us to offer a one stop shop for mechanical testing, non-destructive inspection, and micro analysis. We offer testing at a range of test temperatures and provide volume discounts for large orders.

In addition to materials testing, our experts offer failure analysis to get to the root cause of an issue. Failure analysis is the process of collecting and analyzing data to determine the cause of premature degradation or fracture. Root cause analysis often involves an organized series of tests across multidisciplinary areas.
